Melanie Dekruyter
Why
did you choose this photo? It was taken
the first time we returned to Israel with our daughters, Brynn, Kate and Megan since
moving home from there. We are in the Wilderness of Zin (sometimes translated
'Sin' because phonetically it's a 'ts' or 'tz' sound), a place where the people
of God had to learn to rely solely on His provision and that the only way to
really live is to know God well and act accordingly.
How
do you spend your days? I spend them
partnering with my husband John in ministry and in shepherding our daughters to
love God, His Word and His ways, and being out-of-doors as much as possible.
Favorite
dessert? Junior Mints is a favorite of
mine--we even registered for them when we got married and we were set for
months.
How
long have you been at Gracespring? I
have called graceSpring home since fifteen years ago when I first became a
RBC'er.
Why
did you agree to contribute to the blog? I learned so much when I used to write
for the RBC Newsletter and have been asking the LORD for a means to encourage
my church family again through writing. This blog was just that invitation.
